Since I arrived in Chile, I noticed an openness and curiosity in the people who attended my classes. Many thought they would only learn self-defense or specific pressure point techniques, but they quickly realized that Kyusho, and the Sensory Energetics that accompanies it, encompasses much more. It is a way to reconnect with oneself, to restore the vital energy that is often blocked by stress, repressed emotions or the accelerated rhythms of modern life.
Kyusho is not a common martial art, it is a deep knowledge of human anatomy and how to interact with the body's energy systems. Sensory Energetics, on the other hand, allows us to activate that natural flow of energy to be more receptive to the sensations and experiences that life offers us. Over time, our bodies tend to dampen sensations, making us more apathetic towards what surrounds us. In my classes in Chile, we focus on how to intensify these experiences, not only on a physical level but also emotionally and mentally.
We worked on practices ranging from sending contactless energy waves to a partner, to creating internal systems to remove blockages and restore emotional balance. It is a method that not only teaches you to protect yourself, but also gives you tools to guide others, whether a partner or a client, towards a state of greater well-being and connection with themselves.
